Red Rooster Coffee

Logo and Branding

Red Rooster Coffe was one of the first logos I ever designed. As a design project we were given the name of brand and we had to come up with a design that would fit the name.

Process

In my sketching process, I explored different ways to incorporate a rooster in the type. The idea of having a rooster be part of the brand's identity was in a way comical which is why I wanted to create a fun and vibrant logo. Eventually, I used an illustration of the face of a rooster to compliment the lettering.

Logo

At first, I wanted the rooster to be a separate element from the title but then looking back at my sketches,
I found that I could play around with the double "o's" and make them part of the face of the rooster.
The idea behind the logo is that it could appeal
to a young and fun demographic.

Branding

Here is a representation of what the logo would look like in different coffee cups, bags, and coffee sleeves. There are two logos, one with the type and a more simplified version with just the face of the rooster.

Apparel

It's very important to see how the logo would stand out in clothes since it's most likely that it would be used in the distribution of shirts sold in the coffee shop. Hopefully by just having the face of the rooster people can quickly associate with the coffee shop.
